I’m Riley Nevins, a cybersecurity professional with over seven years of experience in the industry. What started as a high-school project—AstroVPN, now Veilock—has grown into a global initiative, bringing together like-minded individuals from around the world. Through Veilock, I’ve had the opportunity to work with governments, critical infrastructure, and at-risk professionals like journalists, ensuring they have access to secure and private communication channels. Our mission has always been to push the boundaries of online privacy while maintaining top-tier security standards.

Wazuh has been a cornerstone of our security strategy from the beginning, providing the visibility and control needed to protect our expanding infrastructure. More recently, I’ve been diving deeper into automation, using Ansible to deploy custom active response rules across agents. This has allowed us to scale our defenses efficiently, ensuring that our security measures evolve alongside emerging threats.
