With a career in IT security predating systemd, Mattias Hemmingsson has earned a reputation as a comprehensive security expert, often described as a “one-man security team.” His extensive background spans a wide array of disciplines, including developer training, policy development, security tool deployment (e.g., Snort), firewall configuration (e.g., iptables), vulnerability management, and penetration testing. Currently, Mattias is dedicated to establishing and integrating security best practices into development processes, coining the term “the golden path.” Beyond his hands-on work, he is the host of the DevSecOps podcast, a published author, and a respected teacher in the field.
