Andrew “GingerHacker” Crotty is a Senior Cyber Network Defense Analyst with over a decade of experience across defensive cyber operations, threat intelligence, and security monitoring. He currently supports large scale federal SOC operations and serves as a U.S. Army Cyber Warrant Officer (170A), bringing both civilian and military cyber mission experience to the table.
Andrew is the founder of The Ginger Hacker Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to helping beginners, students, veterans, and career changers break into cybersecurity through mentorship, hands on labs, Capture the Flag challenges, and scholarship programs. He also runs the GingerHacker YouTube channel, where he interviews industry professionals and creates practical blue team focused content aimed at demystifying cybersecurity careers.
His areas of focus include SOC operations, threat hunting, phishing analysis, log analysis, detection engineering fundamentals, and cyber career development. Andrew is passionate about community building, practical learning, and making cybersecurity accessible to those who traditionally lack entry points into the field.
