Zaheer Hussain is a cybersecurity professional and MSc researcher focused on advanced firewall enhancements and Pulse-Wave DDoS detection. Experienced with Debian-Ubuntu-based open-source systems like ELK, LibreNMS, Zabbix, intranet bandwidth testing – speed tester, and Smokeping, he leverages these tools to strengthen security operations and visibility.

As the first Sri Lankan Wazuh Ambassador, Zaheer works with centralized fiber optic spine-and-leaf and SD-WAN networks, Fortinet firewalls, Cisco and Aruba devices, VMware, vSAN, AWS, SIEM with Wazuh, and Microsoft Windows/Office 365 environments. Through sharing knowledge and practical expertise, he aims to inspire his local community to engage with Wazuh and maximize its open-source security capabilities.
