Cybersecurity Specialist & SOC Analyst
/ B&sit
I see cybersecurity as a continuous process of understanding, questioning, and improving. That’s one of the things I enjoy most about working with Wazuh: its flexibility lets me go beyond simply monitoring alerts to explore how security data, detection logic, and different technologies can come together to build better visibility and stronger security operations.
My work focuses on SOC and SIEM engineering, with Wazuh as one of the main technologies I work with. I’m involved in security monitoring, SIEM architecture, integrations, troubleshooting, and the continuous improvement of detection capabilities. I develop and tune rules and decoders, work with a range of security data sources, and look for ways to make the SIEM more useful and better aligned with the needs of each environment. I’m particularly interested in extending monitoring beyond traditional IT, into critical infrastructure, OT networks, and physical security. One example has been exploring the integration of CCTV systems with Wazuh, bringing security monitoring and physical infrastructure closer together.
I’m passionate about cybersecurity education and knowledge sharing. I’ve worked as a professor in cybersecurity diploma programs, teaching Blue Team and defensive security, and I currently work as a tutor in a similar program, helping others build practical cybersecurity skills. As a Wazuh Ambassador, I hope to share what I learn from real-world challenges, contribute to the open-source security community, and keep exploring new ways to use Wazuh to connect technologies, people, and security operations.
