Job description
Your role in Wazuh
As a Wazuh Trainer, you will be responsible for educating and empowering our customers to fully utilize Wazuh’s capabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Deliver Wazuh Training: Deliver in-depth training sessions on Wazuh’s platform, with a focus on installation, configuration, management, and best practices.
- Develop Training Materials: Continuously update training materials and sessions to reflect the latest features, updates, and best practices of the Wazuh platform.
- Collaborate with Wazuh Support Team: Work alongside internal teams to gain deep product knowledge, address specific client training needs, and ensure a seamless client experience.
- Evaluate Learning Outcomes: Conduct assessments and evaluations of trainees’ progress to ensure understanding and retention of material, providing feedback and additional support where needed.
- Promote Best Practices: Promote Wazuh’s security best practices, policies, and guidelines, enabling clients to maintain secure and efficient environments.
- Foster Strong Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, helping them stay up-to-date with the platform and encouraging continued learning and use of advanced features.
What you bring along
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in Technical Training: Proven experience in delivering technical training, ideally within the cybersecurity, SIEM, or open-source software domains.
- Strong Technical Knowledge: Expertise in Linux environments and cybersecurity technologies (SIEM, XDR, threat detection), with certifications in Linux, security, or cloud technologies preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to audiences of varying technical backgrounds.
- Hands-on experience with Wazuh: Knowledge of Wazuh installation, configuration, and troubleshooting is ideal.
- Adaptability and Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly understand client needs and adjust training strategies accordingly. Strong problem-solving skills to help resolve technical challenges during training sessions.
- Commitment to Customer Success: A customer-first mindset with a passion for ensuring clients can confidently and successfully utilize Wazuh’s solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Wazuh and the broader cybersecurity landscape.
Bonus skills
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP), and Elastic Stack.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Comfortable learning and eager to use new technology.
