Your role in Wazuh
As the Community Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the growth and engagement of the Wazuh community while aligning efforts with business goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of identifying, tracking, and improving community KPIs, fostering an active and thriving user base. This role is hybrid and it requires technical expertise to provide technical support to our community users.
Your responsibilities include
- Leading community engagement efforts by fostering relationships, responding to inquiries, and moderating discussions across platforms.
- Defining and tracking key performance metrics (KPIs) to measure community growth, engagement, and satisfaction.
- Sharing community insights and KPI reports with the CEO, including strategies to enhance them.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align community efforts with product development, marketing, and support initiatives.
- Developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and activate community members.
- Designing educational materials and resources to empower the community in using Wazuh effectively.
- Staying updated with trends and best practices in community management to continually enhance the experience.
What you bring along

- Proven experience in a support or technical leadership role, ideally in IT, SaaS, or a customer-facing environment.
- Strong knowledge of Linux environments, troubleshooting, and administration.
- Familiarity with networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, and firewall configurations.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or similar.
- A proactive approach to solving challenges, with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
Bonus skills
- Experience with open-source communities or technical forums.
- Understanding of social media platforms, forums, and other community engagement tools.
- Familiarity with the Elastic Stack or similar monitoring and logging solutions.
- Passion for learning and staying updated with the latest in technology and support practices.
- Experience with tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
